The wonderful green of the pine-clad mountain range of the Sierra de Espuña erupts magically from the parched Murcian plain. A Regional Park since 1995, it is criss-crossed with spectacular mountain-biking trails, wide track and single track with some tougher trails across the peaks. To the east lie the bad lands (Barrancos de Gebas), an unearthly swathe of arid hills and abrupt canyons, which contrast dramatically with the luxuriance of the mountain forests. Scattered across the northern flanks of the Sierra de Espuña are the ancient snow wells, picturesque ruins deep in the pine forest.

The mountain bike tracks and trails are probably some of the best in Spain, whether its wide track or single track this area has the lot, there's no point in talking about it....TRY IT!!

Bike Hire.

We do have mountain bikes for hire with and without suspension from 10 euros per day,

These bikes include Trek, Kona, Giant, Decathlon and Sarecen and are perfect for most of the tracks and trails available however if you want to experience the single tracks on the Espuna we assume that you are an experienced rider and will bring your own bikes, we have bike washing facilities and secure storage and workshop facilities at the hotel.

Barrancos de Gebas

Tacked onto the eastern end of the Sierra Espuña is the strange lunar landscape of the Barrancos de Gebas, known as the bad lands(tierras malas ), where the lushness of the sierra gives way to a startling succession of arid ravines and gullies.

Whats included.......

Airport pick up and drop off from Alicante and Murcia airports for bookings of 5 nights or more, (see prices section for less than 5 nights).

En suite rooms, choice of double or twin beds, all meals are includes (breakfast, packed lunch, bottled water and evening meal.

Continental style buffet breakfast including juice, yogurt, pate, fruit, cheese, jams, marmalade, tea or coffee, and various toasted breads.

The evening meal is a 4 course,with a choice of menu. Vegetarian menu is also available.

We have a great selection of beers, wines and spirits that are available from the bar, there is also an honesty bar at the hotel.

Your bikes will be in secure storage at the hotel,with access to washing and maintenance facilities.

On a 7 night booking there will be five guided rides, giving 1 day free to relax or enjoy one of the other activities available from the hotel.

10% discount available when booking for 6 bikers or more until further notice.

7 Nights = 440 euros per person based on 2 sharing a room.

7 Nights = 410 euros per person based on 4 sharing a family room (2 bedrooms, share bathroom between 4).

Per night option 80 euros per person inclusive of evening meal, packed lunch, breakfast, guided ride (based on 2 sharing a room).

Guided ride only 30 euros per day (per person).

Airport pick up for bookings of less than 5 nights = 1 to 4 people 50 euros each way (per group), 5 to 8 people 75 euros each way (per group).
