Mountain bike / cycling holidays, what's included?
WE HAVE ORGANISED A DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN BIKE DAY FOR 7TH AUGUST, SEE BELOW (A MOUNTAIN BIKE DAY WITH VIRTUALLY NO PEDDLING) 30 EUROS PER PERSON INCLUDES THE BIKE, SAFETY EQUIPMENT, THE GUIDE, THE TRANSFER TO THE TOP OF THE ESPUÑA, SUPPORT VEHICLE, REFRESHMENTS AND A 4 COURSE LUNCH.

The Sierra espuña and the surrounding mountain roads are perfect for road cycling (many professionals use the local roads for training purposes I.e. Tour de France, La Vuelta etc) and obviously mountain biking within the nature park is phenomenal , not all routes for road cyclists are mountainous so its not too difficult to find a route for an easier ride as there are many canal routes cut through the mountains as well, making it perfect for families and older groups.
Try the downhill descent, a great route for an easier ride, if you want it difficult and taxing then we can supply these routes also!
We do not not suggest to ride from late May to early October because of the extreme heat during that time.
FOR OUR BIKING HOLIDAY DEALS WE OFFER....
Airport pick up and drop off from Alicante and Murcia airports. (If required) although we always suggest car hire because of our location.
En suite rooms, choice of double or twin beds, all meals are included (breakfast, packed lunch, bottled water and evening meal, beer and wine. with evening meals.
We do include the use of lightweight bikes with hydraulic suspension that are great for road use here on the Sierra espuna (but are strong enough for offroad as well) However these bikes are not the conventional long ride type of road bike as we find that serious road cyclists prefer to bring their own bikes.

Continental style buffet breakfast including juice, cereals, toast, yogurt, pate, fruit, cheese, jams, marmalade, honey, tea or coffee, and various toasted breads.
Packed lunch
The evening meal is a 4 course,with a choice of menu. local beer, a soft drink and wine is included with your meal.
We have a great selection of beers, wines and spirits that are available from the bar, there is also a 24 hour honesty bar on the terrace.
Of course just because you are here to cycle does not mean that you cannot experience our other activities, however at certain times of the year we can be busy so we always advise to pre book.
We do supply routes for road cycling and mountain biking but there is a huge amount of information available on the Internet for riding in the area as well as the tourist information centres locally.
THESE DEALS ARE AVAILABLE BETWEEN EARLY OCTOBER TO LATE APRIL ONLY as the weather can be extremely hot during other times.
WE CAN SUPPLY A GUIDE IF NEEDED (at extra cost) HOWEVER WE NO LONGER SUPPLY GUIDES FOR HARDENED MOUNTAIN BIKERS, we now concentrate on groups that want to cycle and experience the beauty of the stunning surroundings that the area has to offer

5 people or more, 7 Nights = 299 euros per person based on 2 sharing a room. Inclusive of breakfasts, packed lunches and evening meals including beer and wine with meal., bikes and airport pick ups / drop offs..
7 Nights = £310 GBP per person based on 4 sharing a family room (2 bedrooms, share bathroom between 4). Inclusive of breakfasts, packed lunches and evening meals with beer and wine included with your meal bikes and airport pick ups/drop offs.

Bike hire icluding TANDAM.
Self catering option = 199€ for 7 nights (Price for 2 people sharing a house) , this option obviously does not include food, a guide or airport pick ups. Either self guide (WE SUPPLY ROUTES) or guided its up to you (Please enquire about costs of a guide per week if you have your own accommodation.) An extra 7.50 per person per night for extra guests. (This is a 4 bedroom house)

Tandem, 2 seater bike, 18 speed perfect for these roads including pannier bags, 24€ per day, discount for multiple days.
A standard lightweight but strong non suspension mountain/road bike with hydraulic brakes.= 10€ per day.
Front suspension hard tail i.e. Trek, Giant etc 18€ per day.
Full suspension (Decathlon) 29€ per day.
All hire Includes a puncture repair kit, pump, spare tube, tools and helmet.

A mountain bike day with virtually no peddling!!
Our popular mountain bike days are starting again on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. Between early October and late April only.
We take you to the top of the Sierra Espuña in a minibus, towing a trailer with the bikes in, we then guide you down the Sierra espuña on wide tracks to the canal at the bottom stopping at a hostelry for refreshments on the way, we supply a guide, bikes, helmets, a support vehicle, all transport AND A 4 COURSE LUNCH AT LA MARIPOSA! all this for only 30€ per person, booking is essential and we can only operate this event for 8 people, this is because there is a lot of organising that goes into one of these events and it takes a minimum of 2 staff/guides/driver etc.
We do offer another easy ride option which is the canal ride, please ask for information.

BIKE HIRE.....
We do have mountain bikes for hire with and without suspension from 10 euros per day. These bikes include Trek, Kona, Giant, Decathlon and Sarecen and are perfect for most of the tracks and trails available however if you want to experience the single tracks on the Espuna and are a hardened mountain biker then we assume that you are an experienced rider and will bring your own bikes, we have bike washing facilities and secure storage and workshop facilities at the hotel.
Child seats are available to hire per day and we soon hope to organise child carriages as well.

The mountain bike tracks and trails are probably some of the best in Spain, whether its wide track or single track this area has the lot, there's no point in talking about it....TRY IT!!
